Ruben Amorim Dismissed Star Dubbed ‘Amazing’ As Duo Told To Leave The Club

Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United club has continued their awful form from last season, despite spending £230 million on new players this summer.

Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko, and Senne Lammens were among the Red Devils that arrived and left Old Trafford this summer. Marcus Rashford, who moved to Barcelona on loan for the rest of the season, was one of the many United players that left.

The England international has earned wonderful reviews since his departure, which may make the 40-year-old boss reconsider his decision to let go of a player who scored 138 goals for the club. Paul Scholes has also commented on Amorim’s decision to keep some players at the club.

Along with feedback on Rashford’s La Liga debut, two United players have received criticism from a club great barely one month into the new season.

Rashford has been described as “incredible” by Barcelona manager Hansi Flick, despite Ruben Amorim’s decision to drop him from Manchester United’s plans, according to the Mirror.

The England forward last played for his hometown club in December 2024, but was withdrawn from the squad later that month for a match against Manchester City, along with Alejandro Garnacho. Rashford, 27, left United a month later to join Aston Villa on loan for the rest of the season, where he regained his best form.

However, when he returned to Old Trafford this summer, he was one of five players told by Amorim to seek new possibilities elsewhere.

Rashford made the move to the Spanish heavyweights, where he is currently on loan at FC Barcelona. Flick recently lauded the attacker, saying, “I’ve been following Marcus Rashford since his early days at Manchester United, and I’ve always thought he’s incredible.
