Chelsea Boss Enzo Maresca Wary Of Bayern Munich Threat

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has warned his players about the strength of Bayern Munich ahead of their Champions League clash.

Maresca admitted Bayern are among the favorites for the tournament, describing them as one of the strongest clubs competing in Europe this season.

Speaking before the match, the Chelsea boss praised the Bundesliga giants, saying they have the quality and experience to win the trophy, reports Bavarian Club.

“Bayern Munich already showed last year they are close to winning this competition,” Maresca said, highlighting their consistency on the big stage.

The Italian coach noted Bayern sit alongside three or four other European heavyweights as genuine contenders for this year’s Champions League crown.

Reporters also asked Maresca whether Bayern’s loan signing of striker Nicolas Jackson might give the Germans an insight into Chelsea’s tactical approach.

Jackson, who spent last season at Stamford Bridge, understands Maresca’s style and methods, potentially offering Bayern an advantage ahead of the meeting.

Maresca, however, was relaxed about the issue, acknowledging it could provide a “small advantage” but insisting Chelsea remain focused on their preparation.

He emphasized that Bayern’s strength lies in their quality and organization, rather than any secrets Jackson could possibly share with his new club.

Chelsea will hope to upset the odds and take points off Bayern, but Maresca admitted it will require near-perfect execution to succeed.
