Gary Neville Issues Stark Ruben Amorim Warning After Man United Defeat

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has admitted concern over Ruben Amorim’s future after the Red Devils’ 3-0 defeat to Manchester City.

The loss at the Etihad leaves United sitting in 14th place in the Premier League table, fuelling speculation about Amorim’s position.

Neville, speaking on his podcast, stressed the importance of avoiding another setback when Chelsea visit Old Trafford next weekend.

The pundit warned United could slip to 15th or 16th if they lose again, sparking even louder calls for change.

Neville highlighted United’s £200m summer spending and full pre-season preparation, insisting the team cannot remain in the bottom half.

Neville Fears History Repeating At Old Trafford

He acknowledged the players are not deliberately undermining Amorim but admitted performances lack rhythm, tempo and consistent attacking threat.

Games against Burnley, Fulham and Grimsby showed worrying signs, with United struggling to dominate even against less-fancied opponents.

Neville admitted early optimism from the Arsenal opener has quickly faded, with injuries to Matheus Cunha and Mason Mount worsening issues.

He concluded by stressing that while panic is unnecessary, warning signs are clear, adding: “I’ve seen this before at United.”

A crucial clash against Chelsea now looms large, with Amorim needing a result to relieve mounting pressure at Old Trafford, reports MEN.
