In our last Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek newsletter, we talked about the most transferred in curse and whether it is a real phenomenon or just a myth.
Well, well, well, the ‘curse’ was very active yet again as the most brought in player for this gameweek, Jack Grealish, recorded a blank as Everton were held to a goalless draw against Aston Villa.
However, the most transferred out asset, Cole Palmer recorded his first attacking return after coming off the bench to score in Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Brentford at the G-Tech Community stadium. Although, this was the Blues talisman’s second game of the season.
How ironic, wasn’t it?

Erling Haaland, once more showed his inevitability following a brace in Manchester City’s 3-0 victory over their neighbours, Manchester United.

The 25-year-old claimed 13 points in the process thereby giving managers yet to have him in their teams some serious thoughts as City will be making the trip to the Emirates for a crunch match-up with high-flying Arsenal side.
Antoine Semenyo, who was GW3’s most transferred in asset proved his value after scoring from the penalty spot and providing an assist to plunder 13 points in Bournemouth’s south coast derby victory over Brighton and Hove Albion.
Tottenham Hotspur ace, Micky van de Ven kept a cleansheet and got on the scoresheet to collect 14 points as Spurs return to winning ways following a 3-0 win away at West Ham United.
Martin Zubimendi is the second Arsenal star to claim the player of the week prize after his two goals against Nottingham Forest earned him 16 points to beat off competition from Van de Ven.
FPL royalty, Mohamed Salah claimed just his third attacking return of the season following an injury time goal from the spot to give Liverpool a 1-0 win against a resolute Burnley side.
The Egypt international hasn’t started the campaign in an explosive form as many had hoped as his 25 points so far is 12 behind Haaland, who currently occupies the top spot with 37 points.
