Real Madrid Ready To Swoop For PSG Star Following Liverpool Refusal To Sign

Real Madrid are reportedly set to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward, Bradley Barcola as Rodrygo’s replacement following Liverpool’s refusal to sign and instead completed a record deal for Alexander Isak.

With interest from Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur in the Real Madrid winger, Rodrygo was one of the most talked-about players during the summer transfer window.

In the end, the Brazil international made the decision to remain and compete for a spot in Madrid manager Alonso’s squad.

Rodrygo is still concerned about his future. If he does not get enough playing time, the Brazilian star is prepared to leave the club during the January transfer window.

According to Fichajes as reported by Team Talk, Barcola is the player that Madrid much admire and have already “expressed interest” in bringing to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Barcola On Liverpool Radar

Liverpool had Barcola on their wish list during the summer transfer window. The reigning Premier League champions wanted to sign the winger in case they were unable to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.

Barcola, who cost PSG €45 million (£39 million, $52.6 million) in transfer fees when they signed him from Lyon in 2023, will be extremely difficult for Madrid to get.

The report further stated that PSG are already negotiating a new contract to keep the winger at the club until the summer of 2030 because they do not intend to sell him anytime soon.
