Spain boss, Luis de la Fuente has reportedly played down a potential back injury to Lamine Yamal as he gives update after the youngster left the pitch against Bulgaria.
Although La Roja recorded an easy win in Sofia, de la Fuente cautioned that his team will face a more difficult opponent in Turkiye on Sunday.
With goals from Mikel Oyarzabal, Marc Cucurella, and Mikel Merino giving Spain great control in the first half, the match was essentially decided.
According to Football Espana, De la Fuente claims his team was not pleased with the second half.

“We played well, especially in the first half. But then we got infected and lacked freshness. But that’s normal because we’re just starting the season. I’m sure the Turkey match will be different, and I hope we’re in good shape.
“It wasn’t an easy game, and the second half got complicated, but we went into the break with a 3-0 deficit, and that gave us peace of mind. We did what we always do, which is try to leverage our strengths and get a little better every day.”
Yamal Injury Not Serious
De la Fuente assured Cadena SER that Yamal, who was substituted out for Jesus Rodriguez in the second half due to a back issue, should be available for their match against Turkiye.
The 18-year-old “felt something,” but it isn’t thought to be an actual injury. Yamal will skip training on Friday before coming back to get ready for Turkiye.
