Alexander Isak Boost As Marc Guehi Decision Made

Liverpool has had a busy summer so far, spending around £300 million on new signings and raising about £200 million in sales. Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, Giovanni Leoni, and Giorgi Mamardashvili have all made significant financial moves to Anfield.

Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Jarell Quansah, Ben Doak, Caoimhin Kelleher, Tyler Morton, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Nat Phillips have all left, and there may be more arrivals and departures before the transfer window closes.

Alexander Isak’s future remains uncertain, while marginal players such as Harvey Elliott and Kostas Tsimikas could possibly go. Mirror Football looks at all of the latest transfer news and speculations from and around Anfield.

Liverpool’s pursuit of Alexander Isak has been boosted by Wolves manager Vitor Pereira’s admission that the club may sell Newcastle target Jorgen Strand Larsen.

Newcastle have previously had two bids rejected for Strand Larsen, who may replace Isak. When asked about the striker’s future, Pereira replied, “I don’t know; I’m not the owner.”

“Until now, Jorgen is our player; we’ll see what happens. Football is football, and every player has a price, including (Lionel) Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. “We will see what happens.”

Guehi’s decision

Liverpool are trying to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi before the transfer window closes, but they do not have a ‘Plan B’ in case a deal cannot be completed.

According to the Athletic, Liverpool’s interest in Guehi stems from the fact that the transfer is considered as a’market opportunity’ given that the England international is in his final year of contract. If Liverpool fails to reach a deal with Palace, no other defenders will be considered.

Liverpool now has four centre-back options after signing Giovanni Leoni from Parma for £26 million. However, there are questions over Joe Gomez’s fitness and Ibrahima Konate’s contract status.
