Kobbie Mainoo has struggled to reproduce the dazzling form he displayed over the last two seasons at Manchester United.
The 20-year-old midfielder earned a reputation for wonder goals and earned England recognition just over a year ago, reports Mirror.
Mainoo also starred in United’s FA Cup final triumph over Manchester City, scoring the winning goal to claim man of the match.
Yet his stock has fallen sharply under Ruben Amorim, with just 15 starts in 44 games and bench appearances increasing.
Sad Footage Highlights Career Struggles
After United drew 1-1 with Fulham, a viral clip showed Mainoo looking dejected, highlighting his growing uncertainty and potential transfer.
Reports suggest Mainoo is open to leaving if a suitable offer arrives before Monday’s transfer deadline, with Chelsea showing interest previously.

Back in April 2024, captain Bruno Fernandes had warned that opponents would eventually adapt, making it harder for Mainoo to dominate games.
“They’ve been playing well, but eventually it gets tougher because people know your game,” Fernandes said of Mainoo’s early breakthrough period.
Discussions over a new contract remain stalled, with Amorim admitting there has been “no news” regarding a potential deal for the midfielder.
The youngster’s future at Old Trafford is now in serious doubt, and a move away may be the best chance to revive his career.
