Flick Suffers Hand Injury In Training

Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick reportedly suffered a right hand injury during his side’s training session on Thursday.

Barcelona are dealing with a few fitness-enforced absences as they prepare for their season opener against RCD Mallorca at Son Moix on Saturday.

Robert Lewandowski looks certain to miss out due to some muscle issues, as captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen is absent due to a back issue that required surgery. Marc Bernal’s recovery from his ACL injury is likewise unlikely to be accelerated.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Flick had a little issue during Thursday’s training session at Ciutat Esportiva.

The German coach hurt himself when he was trying to steady himself with his hand on the ground. Ricard Pruna, the club doctor, attended to him.

The back of Flick’s right hand and wrist are now supported by a splint. His ability to do his tasks on the field is unaffected by the injury, though, as he carried on with his regular work.

Barcelona Aiming To Successfully Defend Their La Liga Crown

Before their first official game of the season in Son Moix, Flick will have his first press conference of the season after the morning training session today.

In accordance with a deal with the team’s Asia tour organizers, the 60-year-old manager did have a press conference in South Korea prior to the Seoul FC vs. Barcelona game.

The German strategist will be hoping to start the defense of the La Liga title on a high note after meeting with his agent, Pini Zahavi, earlier this week.
