Harvey Elliott is reportedly on the verge of leaving Liverpool after agreeing personal terms with RB Leipzig.
After Elliott’s stellar summer performances for England U-21s, where he led them to victory and won Player of the Tournament, Leipzig had begun negotiations to sign him.
The 22-year-old, who struggled to get first-team opportunities under Arne Slot, seems destined to join the Bundesliga outfit.
According to The Mirror as cited by the Daily Star, Elliott has agreed to a four-year contract, and Leipzig’s pursuit of the midfield player is believed to have been aided by Jurgen Klopp.

In 2019, the talented midfielder was enticed to Anfield from Fulham by the former manager of Liverpool.
Spurs, who are looking to replace James Maddison, have also been mentioned as possible suitors for Elliott. However, they would need to act quickly to thwart the proposed transfer.
Aston Villa were initially thought favourites to obtain the services of Elliott. Newcastle United and Brighton had also indicated keen interest, though Leipzig have now established themselves as the main contenders.
Speaking during the Reds’ pre-season tour of Asia, the midfielder was open about his situation at the club.
Elliott told The Anfield Wrap: “If I had it my way I would be here for the rest of my career, it’s as simple as that.
