La Liga To Reject Barcelona Medical Report For Ter Stegen

La Liga will reportedly not accept Barcelona medical report for Marc Andre ter Stegen if the player himself did not append his signature.

The Blaugrana’s attempts to enforce the injury rule to speed up registrations will be unsuccessful due to the German’s red light.

The shot-stopper has no intention of approving the sharing of his medical records with La Liga.

This is significant since it may make it impossible for Barcelona to acquire new goalkeeper Joan Garcia, and it definitely lessens the likelihood that the young Spanish goalkeeper will be present on La Liga’s opening matchday.

Barcelona had intended to implement La Liga’s injury rule, which permits them to utilize 50–80% of ter Stegen’s salary to register a replacement for an absence of four months or longer, following his back surgery last week.

The Catalan giants have informed the local press that they feel they have the legal right to submit Ter Stegen’s medical report—which La Liga needs to review in order to apply the injury rule—without getting his permission.

The data protection law theoretically protects the information. However, they lack clarity on the specific causes, and according to Cadena SER, La Liga have no plans to consider the proposal.

The league’s body will not review the report and will not offer Barcelona additional wage limit space unless ter Stegen signs his consent.

After starting a disciplinary procedure, Barcelona were supposed to meet with ter Stegen to discuss the situation when they returned from South Korea.

But according to Diario AS, this is no longer possible. The Catalan giants are upset with Ter Stegen because they believe he is hurting the team and acting dishonestly.
