Bournemouth are reportedly on the verge of agreeing a £25 million deal with Chelsea for Djordje Petrovic.
Although Monaco and Sunderland had previously expressed interest in Petrovic, the Cherries are currently the front-runners to sign him.
According to The Evening Standard, the 25-year-old is eager to join Bournemouth, and everyone is optimistic that the transfer will be finalized.
Following a season-long loan at sister club Strasbourg, Petrovic has been open to leaving Chelsea, who now intend to start the new campaign with Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen as their two primary goalkeepers.

Petrovic is eager to continue being a first-choice goalie after he was named Strasbourg’s player of the season.
In 2023, the Serbia international joined Chelsea from Major League Soccer’s New England Revolution, signing a seven-year contract.
After losing Kepa Arrizabalaga, Bournemouth have been looking into other options for a new number one.
After returning to Chelsea at the conclusion of that loan agreement, the Spaniard, who was the Cherries’ first-choice goalkeeper last season, joined Arsenal following the activation of his £5 million release clause.
Along with Sanchez and Jorgensen, 19-year-old goalkeeper Mike Penders is part of the Blues’ roster for the FIFA Club World Cup, which will play Paris Saint-Germain in the final on Sunday in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
