Takehiro Tomiyasu has reportedly left Arsenal after agreeing with the club to terminate his contract.
Tomiyasu has suffered from injuries since leaving Bologna for £19.8 million in 2021, but, he is still well-liked by supporters.
The Japanese defender had another knee operation in February and played just six minutes of football last season.
Since Tomiyasu’s contract was slated to expire at the end of the 2025–26 season, it was anticipated that he would be out for at least five more months.

According to BBC Sport as reported by Daily Mail, a ‘contractual settlement’ has been reached, and the 26-year-old will no longer be seeing out the remainder of his deal.
After a prior knee injury that necessitated surgery in 2023, Tomiyasu entered the season injured.
Over the course of four seasons, he made 84 appearances for the Gunners, tallying two goals and six assists.
This summer, defensive reinforcement has already been heavily linked to Arsenal, with Valencia center-back Cristhian Mosquera being a key target.
Left-back Kieran Tierney has left to join Celtic, w hile Oleksandr Zinchenko could be on his way out if a suitable offer is made.
Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and midfielders Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard have reached agreements with the North London club.
With Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres as the front-runners, finding a new striker is still the top priority for the Gunners.
