Liverpool are reportedly in advance talks with Crystal Palace defender, Marc Guehi ahead of a summer transfer switch.
As the Reds continue to completely revamp every aspect of their squad in anticipation of Arne Slot’s Premier League title defence next season, the Reds have been heavily linked to the Palace captain in recent weeks.
Guehi, who has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Selhurst Park without an extension, was anticipated to receive a “significant” offer from Liverpool, according to reports last month.

According to Sky Germany as reported by The Evening Standard, the England defender has risen to the top of Anfield’s transfer shortlist. And the club and player are currently in advanced negotiations as Liverpool move forward with their most recent high-profile summer acquisition.
Although Palace will be hesitant to let go of their prominent, FA Cup-winning captain after turning down several Newcastle bids in the past. They also desire to prevent him from leaving on a free transfer when his contract ends. It is unclear if a deal can be reached with the Eagles.
With growing rumors that Arsenal and Tottenham are after Wembley hero Eberechi Eze, who has a £68 million release clause, Palace are still awaiting UEFA’s postponed decision on whether they will be allowed to enter the Europa League next season.
The Eagles are reportedly nearing a €55 million (£47.1 million) agreement for Sporting center-back Ousmane Diomande, who could become Guehi’s replacement, according to reports from Portugal on Tuesday.
