UEFA have reportedly delayed the final ruling of Crystal Palace’s Europa League participation next season.
UEFA’s multi-club ownership regulations could prevent the FA Cup champions from participating in their first-ever European tournament.
According to The Mirror, John Textor’s involvement at Selhurst Park is the problem. When Palace defeated Manchester City in the FA Cup final in May, earning a spot in the 2025–26 Europa League, the US investor owned 43% of the team.
Textor also owns the majority of French giants Lyon, who are also billed to participate in the league after finishing sixth in Ligue 1 and being demoted to the second division as a result of their dire financial situation. That raised the possibility of a rule violation for UEFA.

Even though he sold his Palace interest to Woody Johnson of the New York Jets last week, the investigation is still ongoing and there is no set deadline for its conclusion.
Following the completion of their individual investigations by UEFA on the same violations, Slovakian club Dunajska Streda and Irish team Drogheda have both decided not to participate in the Conference League.
The European football governing body said of the Palace-Lyon case: “Finally, the CFCB First Chamber has decided to postpone its assessment of the multi-club ownership case involving Olympique Lyonnais and Crystal Palace.
