Fenerbahce have reportedly opened talks with Real Madrid defender, Lucas Vazquez over a potential summer move.
After the FIFA Club World Cup, the 33-year-old veteran is expected to depart from the Spanish giants, and the transfer market is now buzzing with speculation about where he will go next.
Vazquez has drawn a lot of notice due to his versatility on the right side.
According to Madrid Universal, Fenerbahce appear to be winning the race, despite previous reports linking him with Saudi Arabian clubs as well as Spanish teams like Girona, Rayo Vallecano, Mallorca, Espanyol, and Sevilla.

In an attempt to sign the seasoned winger on a free transfer, the Turkish powerhouses have taken the initiative and started official talks.
Fenerbahce, currently led by former Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho, are reportedly serious about bringing the Spaniard to Istanbul.
Under Mourinho’s direction, the club are eager to assemble a team that can contend at the highest levels in both Europe and the domestic scene.
It is not surprising that Vazquez is being pursued. He is an invaluable member of any team due to his experience, leadership, and versatility as a winger or right-back.
He still has a lot to give at age 33, and Fenerbahce’s current recruitment strategy would work well with a Bosman transfer.
Vazquez is determined to end the Club World Cup with Real Madrid on a positive note, so even though negotiations with Fenerbahce have officially started, he hasn’t made a decision yet.
