Benjamin Sesko’s representative has stated that his client will only leave RB Leipzig this summer for a’special club and project’, and that he will not ‘blackmail’ the club over a move.
The 22-year-old has long been a target for the Gunners, with proposals rejected in May of last year and again in the January transfer window. Arsenal are looking to bolster their attacking options after finishing second in the Premier League for the third consecutive season.
Sesko is their top priority signing, but according to German reporter Florian Plettenberg, no bid has been placed – for one reason. Leipzig value Sesko at £68 million and £85 million, sums that the north London club is apparently hesitant to meet.

Despite the apparent standoff, his agent, Elvis Basanovic, has vowed that they will not force him to leave the German club and that it would take a’special’ proposal to get him out of the Red Bull Arena.
‘Even if the player has a strong desire to move to a specific club, we will never force or blackmail RB Leipzig,’ he told GiveMeSport.
‘I believe this is not the appropriate way, because the manner you leave the club reflects your principles. Values that you are bringing to a new club.
‘I appreciate that there are many different interests involved in large moves, but I believe there should be more respect in the football industry overall. So that is why we either do things correctly or not at all.
Earlier this week, rumors in Germany suggested that the striker has still to accept personal terms with the Gunners, who are planning their succession and monitoring the situation with Sporting’s wanted striker Viktor Gyokeres.
