Liverpool are reportedly set to be without Mohamed Salah for their visit to the Emirates for a mouth-watering clash with Arsenal in early 2026.
With the Reds starting their title defense at home against Bournemouth, the Premier League schedule for the upcoming season was unveiled on Wednesday morning.
After that, they play a difficult away match against Newcastle before hosting last season runners-up Arsenal at Anfield for the final match before the 2025–26 season’s first international break.
However, Liverpool and head coach Arne Slot will be worried about the reverse of the matchup with the Gunners.

According to current plans, the Reds will visit north London on January 7, 2026.
According to The Evening Standard, they may have to travel without Salah, though. This is due to the possibility that the forward will play for Egypt at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Morocco will host this year’s AFCON from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026. Salah will therefore not be available for Liverpool until December 31 at the latest, as that is when the group stage ends and the best third-placed teams are determined.
Salah will therefore undoubtedly miss league games against Wolves and recently promoted Leeds, provided he is included in the Egypt side.
It then depends on the performance of the Pharaohs. They will be strong favorites to go to the round of 16, which will take place in January 3/4/5/6, after being drawn in Group B with Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Angola.
According to this scenario, Salah would not play against Fulham in early 2026 and would not play against Arsenal if Egypt advanced to the quarterfinals.
