Man United CEO Makes Bold Premier League Title Claim

Manchester United chief executive, Omar Berrada, has stated that the team may still win the Premier League title within the next three years despite having just finished their worst domestic season since 1974.

Berrada joined Manchester City in 2011 and worked his way up to become the chief football operations officer before joining United in 2024.

He unveiled ‘Project 150’ in September of last year, which aims to return the club to the top of English football in celebration of the club’s 150th anniversary.

But United had an especially bad season last time out. After winning the FA Cup at the end of the 2023–24 season, the team continued to support Erik ten Hag until firing him in October.

Ruben Amorim took his position, but if anything, the team’s league performance declined.

Even though the Red Devils advanced to the Europa League final, they lost to Tottenham 1-0 in Bilbao. And it’s safe to say that United’s situation hasn’t been much worse in recent memory.

According to Football London, Berrada maintained his commitment to defeating the team’s English opponents and winning a Premier League trophy in the upcoming years in an interview with the United We Stand fanzine.

“It’s establishing a series of targets within a timeframe so we can focus our efforts and energy on that goal,” Berrada said.

“Can the team win the Premier League title by 2028? Of course. We’ve just finished 15th and it seems an impossible task. But why not aim for it? Why not do everything in our power?”
