Barcelona’ Making Headway’ In Negotiations To Buy 23-Year-Old Star

There is still some time until the opening of the 2025 summer transfer window, but FC Barcelona has already decided which moves they will make in this market.

The Catalans are close to completing the move of Spanish goalkeeper Joan Garcia, for whom they have already paid the release clause.

The Blaugranes are now looking to add a left winger to their already superb assault. As things stand, Marcus Rashford, Luis Diaz, and Nico Williams are the players most closely associated with them for this purpose.

The Brazilian defender is under contract with Ligue 1 club Monaco until 2028, but the Catalans have increased their talks with the principality club about him.

They believe the player would be eager to play for a club of Barcelona’s caliber, but they also understand that the sustainability of such a transfer would be heavily reliant on La Liga’s clearance for more acquisitions for the upcoming season.

For quite some time, there have been indications that Vanderson is a fullback on the market who the Blaugranes value for his quality. Last season, he was a regular starter at Monaco, scoring two goals and providing five assists.

For the time being, it is unclear whether Barcelona would sign the defender, as their major priorities this summer have been to buy a goalkeeper and a left-winger.

They already have Gerard Martin and Eric Garcia as replacements for their starting fullbacks, and they are also dealing with Financial Fair Play issues, which limit their choices for acquiring additional players in the market.
