West Ham Rebuff Chelsea Swap Deal Offer For Kudus

Chelsea have reportedly seen their transfer bid for Mohammed Kudus rejected by West Ham United.

According to TalkSPORT as reported by The Metro, the 24-year-old, whose Hammers contract contains an £85 million release clause, had an offer from the Blues which included a player-plus-cash offer.

According to the source, Chelsea made West Ham an offer for Kudus that included midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.

The Ghana international, who cost £38 million to sign from Ajax in 2023, is someone the Hammers want to hold onto.

In his first season with West Ham, Kudus scored 14 goals in 45 games, and in his most recent season, he managed five goals in 35 games.

West Ham have not yet been persuaded by Chelsea’s attempts to negotiate a deal for less than that amount, offering players in exchange.

Asked about his future in April, Kudus told SportsBoom: ‘I’m just here to play my football, enjoy myself, and help the team as much as I can. The future will take care of itself.’

With the £30 purchase of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town officially completed, Chelsea are expected to have another extremely active transfer window.

Mike Maignan of AC Milan is a goalie who the Blues are interested in, yet they might not be able to pay the Italian team’s asking price of £25 million.

Borussia Dortmund winger, Jamie Gittens, who would could cost Chelsea £50 million, has been the subject of talks.

Joao Pedro, a striker for Brighton, has also been linked to a £50 million move to Stamford Bridge, while teams like Arsenal and Liverpool are also interested in the Brazilian.
