The clash between Inter Miami and Al Nassr will likely be the first time Messi and Ronaldo have faced each other in just over a year.
In January of this year, both players got on the score sheet when PSG, who had Messi at the time, edged a Riyadh All-Star XI 5-4.
Xavier Asensi, Inter Miami’s chief business officer, has told the club’s official website
The two legends of the game have faced off against each other 36 times with Messi just edging the goal tally 22-21 in those clashes.
The former Barcelona star also has more assists than his ex-Real Madrid rival with Ronaldo teeing up a team-mate just once in all 36 matches.
And fans cannot wait to see the pair do battle again, with one writing on social media: “Yeeeeeeessssss!!!!! Welcome to Saudi Arabia. Looking forward to the matches.”
And another put: “ronaldo vs messi debate in the big year of 2024.”
With a third adding: “Holy sh*t. Last dance Messi vs Ronaldo OMG!!!!”
