Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes has urged his old team to recruit Elliot Anderson over Manchester City.
According to several reports, Nottingham Forest are anticipating an inflow of offers for the midfield player before to the start of the World Cup, indicating that Anderson’s future is likely to dominate the rumour mill this summer.
Anderson’s camp has already been contacted by United and City, who hope to sign at least one senior midfield player during the next transfer window.
But the 23-year-old will be expensive this summer. Forest will likely demand almost £100 million for the England international.

Pep Guardiola is searching for some new players to bolster his midfield because Rodri is expected to be one of Real Madrid’s top targets this summer and City will lose Bernardo Silva when his contract ends.
But now that United have returned to the Champions League, Scholes implored the Red Devils to make a move for Anderson, who he is certain could handle the increase in competition, particularly at the Europe’s top club competition level.
Scholes On Anderson
“I really liked him when I was at Newcastle,” Scholes told Andy Goldstein and Gabby Agbonlahor on talkSPORT’s Sports Breakfast.
“Newcastle had to sell him, didn’t they, with the PSR and that kind of stuff. But yeah, what I’ve seen of him has been nothing short of brilliant, really.
“What he’s done for Forest has really been Europa League. He’s still got to go to that next level and he’s done it with England.
“When bigger games come, then we’ll get a better idea and he will still have to test himself in the Champions League. But he looks to me like he’d be able to handle it. Absolutely no problem.
“But Anderson and Mainoo, I think I’d be happy with that for the start of next season.”
