Rio Ferdinand Forced To Leave Studio During Champions League Game Due To ‘Unforeseen Circumstances’

Rio Ferdinand exited the TNT Sports studio on Tuesday evening during Newcastle United’s 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain.

The Manchester United legend was at the Parc des Princes for the pre-match build-up but was nowhere to be seen after the game.

Presenter Laura Woods provided an update on Ferdinand’s location after addressing United’s travel to Turkey to face Galatasaray on Wednesday evening.

“Rio would have been here right now to talk about Manchester United,” she explained, “but we had to let him go due to unforeseen circumstances.” Don’t worry, he’s OK.”

United are at the bottom of Group A, and a loss to Galatasaray will see them eliminated from the Champions League.

Newcastle’s destiny is now in doubt after a contentious handball call went against them late in the game.

Alexander Isak’s first-half goal appeared to be enough to propel the Magpies to second place in Group F.

Kylian Mbappe stepped up to strike past Nick Pope and give Luis Enrique’s side a point.

Jenas, a former Newcastle player, went on a rampage about how the decision had robbed them.

“What is Livramento supposed to do with his arms?” he asked. Wrap them around his shoulders?

“I’m fuming. The players threw everything at it and it should have been one of those historic wins. Newcastle have been robbed.”

Newcastle’s destiny is now out of their own hands ahead of matchday six in two weeks time.

They need to beat AC Milan and hope PSG drop points against Borussia Dortmund, who’ve already qualified.
