Liverpool Compete With Bayern For £35 Million Attacker

Liverpool are among the clubs expressing considerable interest in signing Hoffenheim winger Bazoumana Toure during the summer transfer window.

The Reds are expected to improve their attacking options following a disappointing 2025-26 season.

Mohamed Salah’s contract will expire at the conclusion of the season, while Federico Chiesa and Cody Gakpo’s futures are also questionable.

According to Bild, the Reds have identified Toure as a potential replacement for Salah this summer.

The 20-time Premier League champions have already been connected with a number of high-profile players, including Yan Diomande, but Toure has emerged as another intriguing alternative.

According to the source, Liverpool would certainly face competition from Arsenal, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich for the Ivorian winger.

Christian Falk has told CFBayern that, while Bayern respect the youthful attacker, he is not currently a high priority for the club.

The Bavarian giants could yet want to acquire a new winger to compete with Luis Diaz on the left flank, but they appear to be considering several options.

The Bavarian giants may still want to sign a new winger to battle with Luis Diaz on the left flank, but they look to be exploring other options.

Bazoumana Toure would be ideal for Bayern and Liverpool.

Toure joined Hoffenheim from Hammarby in the January 2025 transfer window for €10 million and has since had a breakout season.

He has played 24 Bundesliga games, starting 23 of them, and has two goals and eight assists.

Toure is a flexible winger who can play on either flank, but he is most productive on the left.

The Ivorian has scorching pace and can easily get past defenders. While he possesses a keen sense for passing, there is still potential for improvement in his game.

If major teams want to recruit him, Hoffenheim are believed to want a fee of around £35 million.

Toure also has the highest dribble success rate (69%) among players who attempt at least 4.5 dribbles per 90 minutes, making him a potentially good signing for both Bayern and Liverpool.
