The Merengues are looking for a new head coach as Alvaro Arbeloa’s long-term future remains uncertain. They have already held preliminary discussions about a potential relocation if Arbeloa leaves after the 2025/26 season.
Since taking over for Steven Gerrard at Aston Villa, Unai Emery has emerged as one of the world’s most respected managers. Originally from Hondarribia, the Spaniard went unnoticed throughout his professional career. However, he quickly rose to prominence in the managerial sphere.

While the Spanish tactician has not won any titles during his time at Aston Villa, he has been a successful hire for the West Midlands club, as they have made constant development under him. The highest point could come this season, as the Villans are among the favourites to win the UEFA Europa League and place in the top four of the Premier League.
