PSG agree €25m fee with Real Madrid for Jese

Paris Saint-Germain have agreed a €25 million fee for Real Madrid forward Jese Rodriguez and he will soon put pen to paper on a contract.

The 23-year-old, who has just one year remaining on his deal with Real, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu for some time, but a switch has failed to materialise and Jese has opted to remain in Spain.

However, Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane confirmed last week that Jese was indeed in talks with another club – Ligue 1 champions PSG.

Unai Emery has already heavily bolstered his squad with the arrivals of Hatem Ben Arfa, Thomas Meunier, Grzegorz Krychowiak and Giovani Lo Celso this summer.

But the club are now set to add Jese to their ranks for what French outlet L’Equipe report will be as much as €25m (£21m) for the Parisians to part with.

Jese, who is a youth product of the Real Madrid academy after spending four years in their ranks, made his senior debut with the club in 2011 and was then promoted to the first team in 2013.

It’s not been easy for Jese since breaking into the Los Blancos first team after the attacker tore his anterior cruciate ligament during the 2013/14 season, stunting his progress in the process.
