Piers Morgan Warns Mikel Arteta Ahead Of Man United Clash

Ahead of this weekend’s crucial encounter against Manchester United, Piers Morgan has asked Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to “stop tinkering” with the players.

Arsenal has had a mediocre start to the current campaign after challenging Manchester City for the title last year.

At the weekend, they suffered their first loss of the season when 10-man Fulham held them to a 2-2 draw.

This summer, the Gunners broke the bank, paying hefty transfer fees to acquire Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber, and Kai Havertz. Additionally, David Raya also joined the Londoners on loan.

Arteta has used Thomas Partey in a hybrid inverted right-back role with Timber out for the season, to mixed reviews.

Now, Piers Morgan wants to see the Spaniard go back to basics.

Speaking on social media, Morgan urged Arteta to end his Partey experiment and bring Gabriel Magalhaes back into the starting line up.

He posted: “Stop tinkering and start with this XI against United: Ramsdale, White, Gabriel, Saliba, Zinchencko, Rice, Odegaard, Partey, Saka, Martinelli, Jesus'”.

Arsenal head into Sunday’s match at the Emirates reeling after banking just one point against Fulham, who played few minutes of the match a man light after Calvin Bassey was dismissed.

Eddie Nketiah scored Arsenal’s second goal shortly after Bukayo Saka had cancelled out Andreas Pereira’s early opener. Arteta teased that Nketiah – and several other plays who did not start the match – could be called upon sooner rather than later: a hint that he could opt to shuffle his pack for the visit of Manchester United.
