Football star Neymar Jr. has apologized publicly to his pregnant girlfriend Bruna Biancardi days after cheating allegations surfaced.
The 31-year-old, who is expecting a baby boy with his model and fashion influencer fiancée, took to Instagram to post a lengthy statement pleading for his partner’s forgiveness.
The Brazilian soccer player wrote in his message that he is prepared to make an effort to make things work even though he is unsure whether this would be the end of their relationship.
He apologized in front of the world to show the couple’s families that he still values having his girlfriend in his life.
“I do this for both of you and your family … I don’t know if we’ll work out, but today, I assure you, I want to try.
“Our purpose will prevail, our love for our baby will win, our love for each other will make us stronger,” his Instagram note read.

Neymar said that he didn’t want to “justify the unjustifiable,” but needs Bru (as he fondly calls his girlfriend) in his and his unborn son’s lives. “Can’t imagine (my life) without you,” he wrote.
The couple started dating during the pandemic in 2020, and kept their relationship low-key. Last summer, they went through a break-up, but reconciled in January this year.
In mid-April, Biancardi announced her pregnancy alongside happy pictures of the couple.
The news that broke on June 18 claimed that the soccer sensation cheated on his pregnant girlfriend with social media influencer Fernanda Campos on Valentine’s Day eve.
