Luka Modric will reportedly move to AC Milan as a free agent following the end of the FIFA Club World Cup.
According to transfer specialist, Fabrizio Romano, Modric will seal a free transfer move to Milan when his Real Madrid contract ends after the conclusion of the Club World Cup.
According to the report, Modic and Milan have reached an agreement on a one-year contract.
The Croatian has agreed to a net salary of €3 million, with the possibility of a one-year extension.

Following the Club World Cup, Modric has already declared his intention to leave the team.
The 40-year-old’s signature on the contract, which Romano says will happen next month, is all that is left to finalize the transaction.
Tijani Reijnders, who moved to Manchester City for a fee of around €70 million, will be replaced by Modric. Additionally, Milan and Bayer Leverkusen are negotiating for another veteran in Granit Xhaka.
Milan still think Modric can play at the top level for at least another year, even though he turns 40 this year.
The midfielder, who grew up adoring Milan, has previously come very close to joining the team.
Modric is regarded as one of the best players in both football history and Real Madrid.
He became a Real Madrid legend after joining from Tottenham in 2012 for €35 million.
The 2018 Ballon d’Or Winner was named the club’s captain last summer after winning 28 titles there, and he continued to play a consistent role in Madrid’s squad this past season.
