Mbappe An Injury Doubt For Real Madrid-Man City Clash

Kylian Mbappe is reportedly a serious doubt for Real Madrid’s UEFA Champions League clash with Manchester City on Wednesday night.

Madrid already have a lot of problems going into the match against City at the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, Xabi Alonso now has yet another. The match is a “must-win,” according to some reports, and the Basque manager is under a lot of pressure, but he might have to play without his finest player.

Mbappe had a strap on his hand on Sunday after suffering a finger injury; it has subsequently been discovered that he has a broken finger on his left hand.

The Frenchman was able to play despite the pain, so that was not going to be a problem. However, a second problem might prevent him from featuring on Wednesday.

Mbappe Misses Madrid’s Training Session On Tuesday

Players who aren’t fit enough to train the day before a game are typically benched or left out, as was the situation with Mbappe on Tuesday.

Due to left leg muscular soreness, Marca have deemed him a “serious doubt” for the Champions League match. Mbappe’s feelings prior to the game will determine whether or not he plays.

Apart from Mbappe, Dean Huijsen and Eduardo Camavinga have also been ruled out. Huijsen has been sidelined for the last two weeks owing to knee problems, and Camavinga missed Los Blancos’ match against Celta Vigo due to an ankle injury. Neither player trained on Tuesday.

The duo join Dani Carvajal, Trent Alexander-Arnold, David Alaba, Eder Militao, and Ferland Mendy on the injury list.

Fede Valverde will probably return to right-back, with Antonio Rudiger and Raul Asencio in central defence. Alvaro Carreras is also expected to start ahead of Fran Garcia at left back.
