Mason Greenwood Tells Friends His Time At Man United Is Up

Manchester United outcast, Mason Greenwood has reportedly told friends ‘he is finished’ at United and doesn’t expect to feature for the club again.

The forward does not anticipate playing for the team again despite the dismissal of the criminal proceedings against him.

After Greenwood was initially detained in January 2022, charges of attempted rape, assault resulting in actual bodily harm, and controlling and coercive behavior were later dropped. Sparking discussion about a potential return to football.

The club is currently consulting among itself on what to do with the 21-year-old, but according to a story from The Sun, he believes he would never play for United again.

According to a source who spoke to the publication, Greenwood believes he is “finished” at Old Trafford. And won’t play for Manchester United “ever again.”

He recognizes that the predicament is “his own doing.” but it is reported that the realization has left him feeling dissatisfied since he wants to resume playing.

In January 2022, Greenwood was detained after allegations backed up by video evidence appeared on social media. He was later detained again that November for violating his bail terms.

Prior to the accusations against him being dropped, he was scheduled to go to trial in November of this year. Since then, United has conducted an internal inquiry.

According to reports from February, there was a division within the club on Greenwood’s future. With some arguing that given his lengthy affiliation with Man Utd, they owed him a duty of care.

However, since that time, there hasn’t been any news or a sign that Greenwood is any nearer to being reintegrated back to the United’s team.

United have a contract with Greenwood that is valid until 2025.
