Man United Prepare Second Bid For Talented Forward

Manchester United are reportedly preparing a second bid worth £40 million for Atalanta striker, Rasmus Hojlund after seeing their initial £31 million rejected by the Italian club.

Tottenham talismanic striker, Harry Kane and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen were first linked with a move to Manchester United. But Spurs reportedly declined to negotiate a deal with the Red Devils. While Osimhen’s asking price of £150 million is too high for the club to match.

According to Goal, the club has now turned their attention to Hojlund as a result of this. They are getting ready to submit a second £40 million proposal for the Danish forward. After having their previous £31 million offer rejected by the Italian team.

The 20-year-old played 42 games for Atalanta across all competitions last season. Contributing 16 goals and 7 assists.

Due to the limited £120 million transfer kitty given to Erik ten Hag, United have run out of money. With Mason Mount’s acquisition imminent, they will have just £65 million left over to spend on a striker and goalkeeper.

Ten Hag is looking for a goalkeeper to take David De Gea’s place in the team in addition to a striker. They are reportedly interested in several goalkeepers right now, with Inter Milan’s Andre Onana being the most well-known.

It will be interesting to see who the Red Devils will sign to play up front as the team was guilty of missing clear-cut chances which sometimes hurt them, most notably against Sevilla in the UEFA Europa League.
