Liverpool Warned Of Terrible Transfer Error After ‘Exceptional’ Star Green Lights Move

Liverpool have been told that they may come to regret selling Harvey Elliott this summer, with the England Under-21s hero apparently having made a definite preference for where he wants to play next amidst significant interest from Newcastle United.

The 22-year-old spent much of last season on the sidelines after failing to persuade Arne Slot that he was worthy of a regular place in the Liverpool squad. Elliott was only able to make three Premier League and Champions League starts this season, but he was able to showcase his brilliance in the UEFA European Under-21 Championships, which England won for the second time in a row at the weekend.

However, despite his high stock, Elliott’s future at Anfield has never seemed more grim, and with the club record signing of Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for a package ultimately valued £116 million (€140 million, $162 million), Elliott’s tenure on Merseyside is coming to an abrupt end.

Following a personal endorsement from the group’s global director of soccer, Jurgen Klopp, RB Leipzig appears to be vying for his signature this summer, with Newcastle United also interested.

And sources confirm to us that Elliott – praised as “exceptional” by his former Reds boss Klopp – is reluctantly ready to green-light a move away from his beloved Reds, knowing he can’t afford to squander his time festering on the sidelines.

However, not everyone believes his sale is a wise idea, and expert Micah Richards warns Slot that he may come to regret it.

“If I am Liverpool, I will not sell him. Not a bit! “I’m not selling him,” former Manchester City player Richards declared on The Rest on Football podcast.
