Liverpool will reportedly not be making a third bid to Crystal Palace for Marc Guehi after the club rejected their first two offers.
Even though Guehi only has a year left on his deal with Palace, the London outfit have been adamant about their captain.
As the Eagles are ready for a European campaign, they appear determined to hold onto as many important players as possible. While many clubs are known to adore Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Eberechi Eze is still on Arsenal’s radar.
Guehi is not just a target for Premier League champions Liverpool.

The defender was targeted by Newcastle and Tottenham last summer, but he stayed at Selhurst Park and was instrumental in Palace’s FA Cup triumph.
Despite Guehi’s contract being in its last year, his club have not thought about selling him.
Crystal Palace Holding Out £48M For Guehi
According to the Daily Star, Palace are seeking about £48 million for their captain. Liverpool are said to be looking into alternative options as neither of their two bids have reached that valuation.
After selling Jarell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen, Arne Slot’s team still needs center-back reinforcements.
According to the Mirror, Ibrahima Konate has not yet agreed to extend his current deal, which expires next summer. Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk both have two years left on their contracts.
Following their respective FA Cup and Premier League triumphs last season, Palace and Liverpool will square off in Sunday’s Community Shield.
Although Guehi is not expected to push for a transfer, he will have the chance to demonstrate his abilities throughout the game.
