Liverpool are reportedly considering a summer move for Emiliano Martinez as uncertainty grows surrounding the future of legendary goalkeeper Alisson Becker.
The Brazilian shot-stopper has remained one of Liverpool’s most important players since arriving from AS Roma in 2018.

However, reports suggest Juventus are strongly interested in bringing Alisson back to Serie A ahead of next season.
With Alisson entering the final year of his contract, Liverpool are believed to be preparing contingency plans in case their long-serving goalkeeper departs Anfield.
Martinez has now emerged as one of the leading candidates to replace the Brazilian international if Liverpool lose their experienced number one this summer.
Martinez Viewed as Experienced Replacement
The Aston Villa goalkeeper has developed into one of the Premier League’s most reliable and commanding goalkeepers under manager Unai Emery.
Martinez also enhanced his global reputation after helping Argentina national football team win the 2022 FIFA World Cup, reports Caught offside.
Liverpool reportedly admire Martinez’s leadership qualities, strong personality, penalty-area dominance, and ability to perform under pressure during major occasions consistently.
At 33 years old, Martinez would provide immediate experience and authority rather than representing a long-term developmental signing for Liverpool’s future project.
Villa are unlikely to allow Martinez leave easily, considering his importance during their recent rise both domestically and across European competitions recently.
Reports also suggest Villa are monitoring James Trafford as a potential replacement should Martinez eventually complete a move away this summer.
