Leeds United ‘Hijack’ Manchester United And Liverpool Transfers After Club Record Cost Is Set

Leeds United completed their second summer signing on Monday, buying defender Jaka Bijol from Udinese for a cool £15 million.

Despite the initial asking price of £17 million for the Slovenian, Leeds were able to clinch the deal this week, adding to Lukas Nmecha, who is expected to join on July 1.

According to LeedsLive, the Whites are not close to signing a third player, with new faces expected from July onwards.

However, there is a lot of movement surrounding United’s transfer transactions, with several players linked to a move to Elland Road.

Daniel Farke is apparently interested in Oscar Gloukh, a Manchester United and Liverpool prospect.

According to Le Nouvel Echo, Leeds have ‘shown interest’ in the 21-year-old after witnessing his performances at RB Salzburg, says Leeds Live.

Leeds’ association with Red Bull, valued at £21 million, could offer them an advantage in outbidding their Premier League rivals for his signature. Gloukh, an adept No.10 and left winger, scored 10 goals and assisted five times in the Austrian Bundesliga last season.

Leeds United are apparently strengthening their backline, despite already signing Bijol and having some excellent defenders.

The Whites have set their sights on Real Betis’ Natan de Souza, who impressed with his performances last season.
