Barcelona created history on Sunday night, winning El Clasico 2-0 and securing the league title in the process. This is the first time the Catalans have won La Liga in the classic match.
That isn’t the only fascinating statistic to come from the game. With the triumph, Lamine Yamal now has three La Liga titles, one more than Cristiano Ronaldo. And sure, he is still only 18 years old.
Marcus Rashford started the score with a fantastic free kick, and Ferran Torres secured the victory. The triumph is the Manchester United loanee’s first league title.

He also finished first in Spain, ahead of Kylian Mbappe.
Following El Clasico, another loanee, Joao Cancelo, has cemented his place in history. The Portuguese international is the first player this century to win four of Europe’s top five leagues.
Cancelo has previously won the Premier League, Serie A, and Bundesliga (as well as Portugal’s Primeira Liga), and now he can add La Liga to the list.
In addition, manager Hansi Flick has an impressive Clasico record. According to MisterChip, the Barcelona coach is the first to win six of his first seven Clásicos (Guardiola only won five of the first seven).
Barcelona is now equal on Clasico victories with Real Madrid once more. Both clubs have 106 victories and 52 draws.
