Kylian Mbappe ‘Tells PSG To Sign Bernardo Silva This Summer’

Kylian Mbappe has reportedly urged Paris Saint-Germain to sign Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva during this summer’s transfer window.

Bernardo was a key player for the Citizens once again during the 2022-23 season, appearing in 29 games across all competitions and contributing two goals and five assists.

However, the 28-year-old recently voiced a desire to leave the Etihad Stadium for “a new project” at some point.

Bernardo is presumed to want to leave Manchester City for personal reasons, as he wants to be closer to his family in Portugal, with Barcelona said to be long-term admirers.

However, Catalan club president Joan Laporta recently admitted that his team could not afford the attacker.

“Bernardo Silva for €80m (£70.8m) will surely not come… because we will not pay them,” Laporta told Cadena SER.

PSG are also said to be interested in the attacker, who has less than two years left on his contract with the reigning English champions.

Mbappe is desperate for his club to bring Bernardo to Paris during the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.

Despite being linked with Real Madrid, Mbappe, who was named PSG’s vice-captain by Christophe Galtier this week, is said to want Silva to join him in the French capital if he stays.

According to the report, the France international has a close relationship with the Portuguese as a result of their time together in Monaco.

Bernardo has been with the Citizens since 2017, making 280 appearances in all competitions, scoring 50 goals and providing 56 assists.

Mbappe’s own future in the French capital is far from assured; the 24-year-old, who has scored 25 goals in 24 club appearances this season, is once more being linked with a move to Real Madrid.
