KFC France Issues Apology To Mbappe And France FA After Threats To End Sponsorship

KFC France has apologized for making threats to discontinue sponsoring the French national team over Mbappe protests in a statement.

KFC France issued the statement retracting its intention to withdraw as sponsors of the French national team after Kylian Mbappe refused to participate in a marketing campaign.

Due to disputes over image rights, Kylian Mbappe had refused to participate in a photoshoot with the France team.

Vice president of KFC France, Alain Beral had initially claimed that the firm would quit sponsoring the club if Mbappe refuses to create promotional content. However, the corporation moved to downplay the assertions.

Meanwhile, the national team has informed Mbappe that they will change their advertising and image rights policy in response to his objection.

“KFC France regrets the words that were spoken yesterday,” the company said in a statement.

“These are personal opinions, but in no way reflect the position of the company. Partnership with the French Football Federation has always been a source of pride for us.”

The Frenchman is with his national side as they prepare for Nations League matches against Austria and Denmark in the final round of international matches before the World Cup begins in November.
