Haaland Provides Fitness Update As Man City Suffer Injury Blow

Mancehster City striker, Erling haaland has issued an update about his fitness and claimed him and teammates ‘are ready to attack.’

On Tuesday night, City defeated Luton Town 6-2 to advance to the FA Cup quarterfinals at Kenilworth Road. Haaland scored five goals, including a hat-trick in the first 40 minutes of play for Pep Guardiola’s team.

After missing two months due to an ankle injury, Haaland has returned. The Norwegian has now scored seven goals in his last six games. After a protracted hamstring injury, Kevin De Bruyne is also back to his best. He assisted Haaland’s first four goals against Luton.

The two will be hoping to lead City to the Premier League title for a record-breaking fourth time. They are now one point behind leaders Liverpool and will make the seismic trip to Anfield next week Sunday. Third-place Arsenal are also adrift the top of the log with one point.

Additionally, as the Reds compete for the silverware, Haaland has issued a clear warning.

“It’s coming, we’re coming,” he told ITV Sport as echoed by Liverpool World.

“My fitness? I am getting back to my best. Finally, I am feeling good. It’s an amazing feeling. Exciting times ahead. We are ready to attack.”

But despite winning over Luton, City did suffer another blow to their injury roster. Due to a recurrence of a groin issue, Jack Grealish was forced off the field in the 38th minute and appeared visibly upset while on the bench.

Pep Guardiola stated: “I didn’t speak to the doctor yet but I think he complained about the groin, so maybe quite similar.

“He felt really, really good but unfortunately he was injured again at the beginning of the game. It has been a tough season for him so now he has to recover well and help us when he is able to come back.”
