FPL Gameweek 6 Recap: The Games Are Getting Thicker, iSoccer Winners

There was an almost inevitable blank for Julian Alvarez(£6.9m) after being transferred in by almost 1.4 million FPL managers.

Ten-man Manchester City completed the job against Nottingham Forest despite Rodri‘s (£5.7m) red card, with Kyle Walker (£5.2m) and Phil Foden (£7.6m) bagging 11-point hauls after combining for the game’s opener.

Erling Haaland(£14.1m) consolidated his position at the top of the FPL points table with his eighth goal of the season.

Elsewhere, Bukayo Saka (£8.7m) and Son Heung-min (£9.1m) were on the scoresheet on Sunday in a thrilling north London derby. There were fears Maddison (£7.9m) was injured after jolting his knee in the second half but he played on for a while, with Ange Postecoglou later suggesting he was fine.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s season went from bad to worse, as they were beaten at home by Aston Villa.

It was another frustrating afternoon for Nicolas Jackson (£7.0m) and his owners on Sunday, with the 22-year-old striker blanking and picking up his fifth yellow card of the season.

He now faces a one-match ban and will miss Chelsea’s trip to local rivals Fulham in Gameweek 7.

Malo Gusto (£4.3m), who saw red for serious foul play will also be out.

The first of his three-match ban will be served in the midweek Carabao Cup clash with Brighton and Hove Albion, before missing Gameweeks 7 and 8.

Newcastle headed to Bramall Lane as favourites to beat Sheffield United, but few could have predicted a record-breaking 8-0 away victory, a result that sent shockwaves through the Fantasy community.

Eddie Howe’s side ran riot with eight different goalscorers, including the most-bought defender for Gameweek 6, Sven Botman (£4.7m).

However, the Dutchman’s 12-point haul was eclipsed by Kieran Trippier (£6.6m), who claimed 18 points, courtesy of three assists, a clean sheet and maximum bonus.

Please Note: Winners will be contacted directly by the iSoccer FPL admins ONLY if they have dropped a comment or their team names at any point during the season. Winners who haven’t fulfilled any of the above requirements would have their win passed down to a next eligible manager (who has sent in comments).

This will be done on the next Gameweek’s Deadline Day (provided winners didn’t comment still). And once payments are made to another manager, it becomes irreversible.

Net points for the week will be used in picking winners, rather than gross points.

Also Note: Each player is entitled to only ONE team. Therefore, payments will be denied from players with more than one team, and passed to next manager.

All players are also advised to follow the social media handles and to visit the iSoccer website frequently.
