Former Liverpool Star Happy To Play Alongside Kane

Luis Diaz has settled right in after his sensational summer transfer to Bayern Munich but the Colombian winger acknowledges that the quality of his new teammates has astounded him.

Diaz joined the German powerhouses for an estimated €70 million after leaving Liverpool following an impressive career there.

He has since settled into a formidable attacking group that includes French wonder Michael Olise and England captain Harry Kane.

Since joining the German giants, the 29-year-old has been a prolific goal scorer and assist provider, scoring 16 goals himself and setting up 11 more for Vincent Kompany’s blistering team in the Bundesliga and Champions League.

His partnership with Kane has been crucial to his successful debut season. Thus far, the Colombian has provided the Englishman a staggering 10 assists. In just 35 games across all competitions, Kane has scored 41 goals overall, keeping the Bundesliga side highly competitive.

Diaz claims the chance to play with Kane has been a revelation even though he has played against the England captain many times throughout their time in the Premier League.

What Diaz Said About Kane

“It makes me very proud to play in a team with Harry and Michael [Olise],” the Colombian told Sky Sport.

“They are technically really spectacular. Harry, for example, simply does everything well. He has surprised me a lot.

“I saw him play in England because we also played against Tottenham several times. But it is one thing to see him on the opposing side.

“Another thing is to really share the dressing room with him and be on the training pitch with him every day… and to see how he works for us as a team, how he moves, how he keeps dropping deep, asking for the ball and, of course, how he scores goals.

“He is a machine. He really does everything well. I am very proud to be part of this offensive.”
