Erik Ten Hag Confirms Return Of Two Man Utd Stars To Training

Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Christian Eriksen are back in full training for Wednesday’s Premier League match against Brentford, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed.

Wan-Bissaka missed the 2-0 loss to Newcastle United on Sunday owing to illness, but he has recovered in time to take part in this afternoon’s team training.

Ten Hag said at his press conference that the right-back will train with the team and that he is pleased with the “really close” competition he has with Diogo Dalot.

“He’s returning today in training. I think it is really close, competition between them,” Ten Hag said.

“Maybe Aaron gives you a little bit more defending, Diogo gives you a little bit more offense.”

“I have to say, they have both made progress in both areas. It is really close. You look at the load, the opponent, to manage that.”

Eriksen will also participate in full training for the first time since his ankle injury, according to the Red Devils’ manager. However, he won’t be available for tomorrow’s late kickoff against the Bees.

He added: “Not for tomorrow but he’s returning on the pitch. He’s returning into team training today, so we have to see now how quickly he can make the progress.”

The Red Devils have lost their way in the Premier League with just one point from the last three outings.

Despite this, they are only goal difference behind Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, who are third and fourth in the league. United currently have two games in hand over Spurs.
