Endrick Future At Real Madrid In Doubt As Minutes Remain Limited

Endrick was once Brazil’s golden boy and seen as part of Real Madrid’s next generation of Galacticos, but fortunes shifted.

The 19-year-old made 37 appearances last season, mostly from the bench, showing flashes of promise but lacking consistent playing minutes.

Under new manager Xabi Alonso, Endrick’s opportunities have reduced further, playing only 14 minutes as a late substitute against Valencia.

For the fourth consecutive international window, Endrick has been left out of Brazil’s squad by former Real coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Endrick joined Real Madrid at 18 in July 2024, 18 months after the club initially agreed his transfer from Palmeiras.

During his first season, he scored seven goals but mostly came off the bench, playing just 352 minutes in La Liga.

A hamstring injury in May disrupted Endrick’s preseason, causing him to miss the Club World Cup and several early-season matches.

He returned on September 20 but remained an unused substitute in six consecutive matches before briefly appearing against Valencia.

Endrick Faces Crucial Decisions Ahead of January Window

Spanish expert Guillem Balague believes Alonso recognises Endrick’s potential but currently prefers forwards contributing more to overall team dynamics.

Real Madrid are considering a January loan move to provide Endrick regular first-team football and help his development sustainably.

Remaining in Madrid offers stability, helping him adapt to senior football in a foreign country while building long-term professional habits.

The looming World Cup adds urgency, as limited minutes could affect his chances of returning to Brazil’s squad this summer, reports BBC.

Premier League and top European clubs have monitored Endrick, with Lyon potentially offering Europa League experience and guaranteed playing minutes.

Ultimately, Alonso may resolve matters internally, giving Endrick minutes, or the winter transfer window may force a decision on his future.
