Cristiano Ronaldo LEFT Out Of Man Utd List Against Atletico Madrid

Manchester United’s scheduled preseason game against Atletico Madrid will not feature Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese forward is not included in the team that will go to Norway to play the Spanish team in the preseason game.

Ronaldo has expressed a desire to leave Manchester United this summer, and Atletico Madrid has been mentioned as a potential destination despite the Spanish club’s president emphatically stating that they will not sign him.

Why Wasn’t Ronaldo Included In Man Utd Team?

Ronaldo has informed Man Utd management that he plans to depart this summer as a result of his team’s failure to make the Champions League.

The 37-year-old has been away from United’s pre-season preparations due to a family matter.

This week, the former Real Madrid player returned to Man Utd’s training field with his agent, Jorge Mendes, to discuss his situation.

Ten Hag recently stated that he does not know when the star forward will join up with the rest of the club, and United has not provided an update on why Cristiano Ronaldo is still not on the team.

Ten Hag even hinted that Ronaldo might end up extending his stay, despite Manchester United’s insistence that they won’t allow him leave this season.

“Yes (he could stay beyond this season), but to be honest, of course I have signed here for three years, but in football it’s short-term as well. We have to win from the start. So I don’t look that far ahead,” he said.

Who Will Be Traveling with Man Utd To Take On Atletico Madrid?

United manager Ten Hag has included his new signings in the team for the friendly clash against the Madrid club even though Cristiano Ronaldo is still absent.

Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, and Lisandro Martinez will all fly to Oslo.

Some of the United players who are not going to Oslo are scheduled to play against Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford the following day.
