You could be forgiven for missing Chelsea’s subtle Friday unveiling of a sleek new club badge.
Only observant fans were able to see the Blues’ several minor adjustments.
Although it isn’t on the club’s website, the updated insignia, which keeps its original style, made its debut on social media.
But it’s obvious that changes have been made to give the badge a new look ahead of the upcoming season.
The Changes Made
According to talkSPORT, the badge’s blue backdrop has been replaced with a darker, sharper tint.
Additionally, the yellow outline that was previously visible around the white circle in the centre of the badge has been removed by the club.
Interesting development noticed by some fans, Chelsea have updated all of their social media profiles with this slightly redesigned logo.

A deeper shade of blue is chosen, and the blue lion is no longer shadowed.
Lastly, a new typeface has been employed for the lettering.
Overall, even if it won’t be on their home jersey, it seems like Chelsea have chosen to give their badge a cleaner, sharper appearance as they welcome in a new era at Stamford Bridge.
To create a minimalist look, the Blues have chosen to use a yellow variation of their lion.
