Chelsea are reportedly on the brink of signing Borussia Dortmund winger, Jamie Gittens as the player is committed to joining the Blues ahead of Bayern Munich.
With both the Blues and Dortmund participating in the Club World Cup in the United States, Enzo Maresca’s side were keen to recruit the England Under-21 player prior to the tournament’s commencement.
They were unable to come to an agreement before the summer’s initial transfer deadline, but according to The Athletic, negotiations have gone on, and a deal is now anticipated to be reached soon.
Given that Gittens has already signed to a seven-year deal and is “fully committed” to joining the Stamford Bridge project, a move could be finalized soon.

Chelsea made two unsuccessful attempts to entice Gittens to leave the Westfalenstadion. Dortmund are reportedly demanding a fee of about €60 million (£51 million).
Despite rumors that Bayern Munich want to keep Gittens in the Bundesliga, he is still anxious to join Chelsea.
With Bradley Barcola and Nico Williams on their list of ambitious transfer targets, Bayern hope to add another winger to their roster.
Chelsea, however, are keen to add another wide player after deciding not to retain Jadon Sancho.
Due to Mykhailo Mudryk’s doping ban, Maresca has young Tyrique George, Pedro Neto, and Noni Madueke as options. Though the latter is wanted by Arsenal.
