Champions League Manager Rejects Job To Coach Relegated Team

Leicester City’s search for a new manager has reportedly suffered another setback after Dick Schreuder rejected interest from the Championship club.

Brendan Rodgers was once considered a major managerial appointment, but Leicester’s current situation has significantly lowered expectations around the club.

Reports suggest NEC Nijmegen boss Dick Schreuder has decided against leaving the Dutch side despite strong links with Leicester this summer.

Schreuder confirmed he intends to remain at NEC next season after helping the club secure qualification for next year’s Champions League.

Leicester Considering Remaining Candidates

With Schreuder no longer available, Leicester’s shortlist appears increasingly limited as the club continues searching for a suitable managerial appointment carefully.

Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson is currently viewed as the bookmakers’ favourite to take charge at the King Power Stadium soon.

Former Fulham and Burnley manager Scott Parker also remains under consideration, although his arrival reportedly appears highly unlikely currently overall.

Parker is believed to prefer another Premier League opportunity or a strong Championship project capable of challenging immediately for promotion next season.

Meanwhile, former Manchester United striker and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also emerged among the outsiders linked with Leicester recently, reports Foxes of Leicester.

Despite the difficult situation, Leicester supporters still hope the club can appoint a capable manager capable of rebuilding confidence and stability.
