Barcelona Winger Opens Up On World Cup Exclusion

Roony Bardghji has had a difficult few weeks.

Following his exclusion from Sweden’s World Cup team, the young Barcelona winger has become the subject of increasing speculation at both the club and international levels. Concerns have been raised regarding his attitude.

According to reports that surfaced from Sweden, Bardghji’s absence was linked to worries about his conduct in the context of the national team.

These rumours attracted attention, particularly as the young player was already having trouble getting regular playing time at Barcelona after a disappointing season finale.

Bardghji’s Viewpoint

Bardghji had remained silent up to this point. The winger, however, has now made the decision to speak out about the matter and vehemently deny the rumours that are going around about him.

In an interview with Expressen as quoted by Barca Universal, the Blaugrana attacker gave an explanation for his initial refusal to address the matter.

Despite being disappointed, Bardghji made it apparent that he supported Sweden manager Graham Potter’s decision.

“I decided not to comment on my failure to be selected for the World Cup, as I understood it was simply a decision by Graham Potter.

“I have always respected my managers’ decisions, whether I agreed with them or not,” he said.

The winger emphasized that, despite him going to be absent in the Mundial, he will continue to enthusiastically support the Swedish national team and underlined that the rumours about his behaviour were wholly untrue.

“I realised I had to speak out because the rumours spread in that article were completely unfounded.

“I was very happy and proud that we qualified for the World Cup, even though I didn’t play in the match.

“Still feel part of the team. All those rumours that have been circulating about me are nonsense.”
